Square Enix has revealed the first details of Final Fantasy XV’s upcoming multiplayer mode, Comrades, and announced a beta test running from August 3-8.
Comrades will allow players to create their own custom character, then join up to three other players and take on multiplayer quests. Players will be able to create multiple characters, developed by completing quests, and customised with new clothing and items at the game’s Outposts.
Characters will be able to use a series of different weapons such as katanas, crossbows, shuriken, and shields, all with new moves. At a later date, the final version will also unlock the game’s main characters, Noctis, Gladio, Ignis and Prompto. It’s still not entirely clear whether Comrades takes place in a new area, or the existing open world.
